Mega Fundraiser for Phil Murphy - As he Leads the Poll

As it becomes inevitable that he will be the Democratic candidate for governor, African American and Africans for Phil Murphy in the State of New Jersey will have a mega fundraiser for their endorsed Democratic Candidate for the Governor of New Jersey Ambassador Phil Murphy on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 at 120 Evergreen Place EastOrange starting at 11am. This is the first time African leaders have been call to the table for a major election. African Leaders under the leadership of African American have put a lot of planning in place across the State to make it a big success they have also contributed in every aspect of the campaign from policies, canvassing, GOTV, petition signing and much more.

While gathered together to plan and deliberate on the event on Wednesday, April 27th at the campaign’s main office on Broad Street in Newark were the members of team Africans for Phil Murphy led by Phil Murphy’s African Outreach Coordinator Chief Charles Ugo Eke. The leaders deliberated on how to bring all Africans in New Jersey out in support of the Democratic Governor candidate. Leading this effort is Phil Murphy’s campaign team, senior political adviser Rev. Derrick Green,   Jermaine James, Chief Charles Ugo Eke and Attah Boamah.

The event will feature African American leaders and   Africans from the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western parts of Africa as they all show solidarity and support for Phil Murphy at Ramada Inn Hotel.

“African American and Africans will come out to vote on June 6th for Phil Murphy. But, we are having this event to let those that have not really met him to do so in a more relaxed atmosphere. Africans for Phil Murphy team have been on the road supporting the campaign, but some of our people have not got the chance to meet Phil in person, this will be a good opportunity for them to have an up close and personal chat with our incoming governor” – International Leader Dominic Tamin

Other African American and African leaders planning and making sure the event is a big success are; Charles Williams, Larva Young, Della Fischer, Hon. Olamide Davies Talabi, Evelyn Onyeani ESQ, Dr. Akin Awofolaju, Dr Francis Owo, Prisca Ubah, Christiana Ofodu,  amongst others.

African religious leaders have also pledged their support to the candidate to become the next Governor of New Jersey. Christian and Muslim leaders across the State are educating their congregation about the importance of attending the meet and greet to put a face to the name for those that have not met the candidate and most importantly the get out the vote effort.

In a State that is as diverse as the world itself, the list of African American and African leaders that have endorsed Phil Murphy keep expanding by the day.

With the election less than 38 days, Phil Murphy is leading in the Democratic nomination process and very popular in comparison to the other democratic and republican candidates.
