(Los Angeles, CA) Dr. Norman Quintero is launching an initiative along with NQR Corp., Ortiz Media Group, and others to help the Governor of Puerto and the First lady with a toy drive initiative to bring thousands of toys for The Annual Three Kings Day Celebration on January 6, 2018.

Hurricane Maria is regarded as the worst natural disaster on record in Dominica and caused catastrophic damage and a major humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico.  Over half of the island is still without power and only a little over 80% has potable water.

“Today we join forces with the Governor and the First Lady of Puerto Rico to bring hundreds of thousands of toys for the children of Puerto Rico,” said Dr. Norman Quintero, who is heading the initiative from raise funds and bring toys in time for the January 6th Three Kings Celebration.

Three Kings Day, or Epiphany, is one of the most important holidays on the Puerto Rican calendar.  Traditionally, the island and most of Latin world marked the eve of January 6 as the day to exchange presents rather than December 25.  Kids would also gather grass, hay or straw in show-boxes for the Magi’s horses or camels.

“This year has been very difficult for the island of Puerto Rico and while everyone is working hard to get full power and potable water to the island, we are so happy to accept the invitation of the Governor and the First Lady to lead the effort to bring thousands of toys to the children of Puerto Rico,” continued Dr. Norman Quintero.

To help with the fundraising effort the 1 (844) 4-PR-TOYS or (844) 477-8697 has been set up to help with the fundraising.  100% of the donations are going towards bringing toys to Puerto Rico. The GoFundMe account: https://www.gofundme.com/toysforpuertorico has also been initiated.

Mrs. Beatriz Rossello, the First Lady of Puerto Rico has set up the municipalities of Oricovis, Las Marias, Manati, Salinas, and Humacao for the January 6, Three Kings Day Celebrations.

“In the past, nearly 150,000 children have taken part of the celebration, but due to the challenges and hardship communities across the island, we are expecting over 350,000 requests for toys for every student enrolled in Puerto Rico’s public school system,” ended Dr. Norman Quintero.

NQR Corp., Ortiz Media Group, Iglesia Getsemani of California, InService America are among the first organizations listed to help raise the funds and bring the toys to the Island of Puerto Rico.
