Non-Profit Organization FMWC to Host Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Giveaway

Fathers and Mothers Who Care non-profit organization (http://www.FMWC.org) announced today it will host its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Giveaway at its Los Angeles office. Thanksgiving dinner will include a healthy helping of turkey, ham, dressing, green beans, macaroni and cheese and scrumptious side dishes served with love to the Los Angeles families in the surrounding communities.

“During the holidays, many families are unable to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We understand how important tradition and the holidays are. At FMWC, we want to do our part to ensure that local families don’t go hungry this Thanksgiving,” says FMWC founder Linda Duston-Kelly.

FMWC’s mission is to spark community development by restoring underserved communities and providing resources and educational opportunities which the public is unaware exists. Their vision is to give everyone an opportunity for success and to be a positive contributing part of society. By hosting the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Giveaway FMWC can inform the community that there are resources available for housing, employment, and financial education.

FMWC offers a housing program (A Place 2 Call Home) as well as other types of housing assistance. The organization’s focus is on assisting Los Angeles citizens who face a wide range of challenges in reentering society including veterans, homeless individuals and families, ex-felons, and unaccompanied youth. Although these individuals may have challenges reentering society homeless officials and political leaders point to steadily rising housing costs and stagnant incomes as the overall underlying cause for the drastic increase in homelessness in California.

To combat this issue, FMWC has partnered with Homeless Heroes House (http://www.H3Heroes.org), whose focus is on the eradication of homelessness, and the creation of jobs with a living wage and Lion Universe (http://www.LionUniverse.com) creator of the world’s first premium-full HD 3D mobile phone with no 3D glasses needed. Lion Universe has earmarked seven (7) percent of all retail sales towards these non-profit.

The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway will be held at Fathers and Mothers Who Care, 10975 S. Vermont Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90044. Volunteers are welcome and invited to assist at 11:00 AM on Thanksgiving Day. Dinner is served between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. FMWC serves hundreds each year. The organization recommends families arrive early to ensure that they can take part in the incredible Thanksgiving dinner festivities.
