Amigos De Los Niños Announces September 15th Mexican Independence Day Party at Playa Grande Resort and Spa

Los Cabos Children’s Charity Amigos De Los Niños announces an exciting party to celebrate Mexican Independence Day scheduled for September 15th with planning underway.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – Amigos De Los Niños board members are tasked annually with the arduous mission of raising money to continue the efforts of the charity in Cabo. Raising money is never easy, so new and fresh ideas are always needed. In a community like Los Cabos, tourism is the major source of revenue for the state. The entire local population earns its income in some form or another due to the tourism, as Los Cabos is a world famous destination. ADLN always searches for new and exciting ways to engage and of course thank the local population for their support. ADLN board member Vanessa Castillo is in charge of planning the upcoming Independence Day fundraiser. “Independence Day in Mexico is a blast,” said Vanessa. “We thought this would be a great way to enjoy this special day and also create awareness and, of course, a fund raiser for this wonderful cause.”

Amigos De Los Niños, through the assistance of the Solmar Foundation, has acquired the use of one of the beautiful Playa Grande banquet centers. “Playa Grande is one of the top resorts in Los Cabos,” adds Castillo. “Being able to host the party at this type of venue will definitely draw people to join in on the festivities.”

Amigos De Los Niños is planning a ticketed event, which will feature mariachi (traditional Mexican music), canapés and, of course, Tequila. Sticking to the traditions of “El Grito,” as it is fondly referred to in Mexico, the September 15th party should be a blast. The local community has always strongly supported ADLN by attending events like this. As this will be the 1st Independence Day party, ADLN is planning this party carefully and paying attention to details.

With over 20 years in the Los Cabos areas raising money and awareness about childhood diseases, ADLN is one of the top charities in Baja California Sur. ADLN executive Director Gay Thatcher has been instrumental in many projects in the Los Cabos area that have truly benefited the community. ADLN continues to work hard to help every child in need of medical care and helping to build a stronger community.
