She previously worked for Florida Anesthesia Associates in Winter Haven, Florida and featured over 56 years of experience in nursing. Lois had a special expertise in anesthesia.

Lois’ acclaimed career in nursing began in 1960, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, Pennsylvania. Lois Marie was appointed by the National President of the AANA as Chairman of the Public Relations Committee at the national convention in Arizona, celebrating the AANA’s 50th birthday. Although recently retired, she continues to serve the world of nursing as a Professor Emeritus. She attributes her outstanding success to her determination to make a positive difference, particularly after surviving one of the first brain surgeries for acoustic neuroma in 1965. In her free time, Lois Marie enjoys refurbishing houses, and is also an animal rescue enthusiast. She has 3 adopted poodles, and over the course of 30 years has adopted 20 exotic rescue birds.
