Milwaukee Area Dentist Tony Cigno Releases New Article Covering Dental X-Ray Safety

Milwaukee area dentist Dr. Tony Cigno discusses the safety of dental x-rays today and how dentists can assure dental x-ray safety.

Greenfield, WI — September 6, 2017 — Wisconsin Dentist Tony Cigno recently published an article titled, “Dental X-Ray Safety: Are Dental X-Rays Really Safe?”

In a previous article, Dr. Tony Cigno outlined the different types of x-rays typically performed in a dental office. As a follow up, this article covers dental x-ray safety. Dr. Cigno felt this was an important topic to cover because it is a question on the mind of many today.

He says, “The benefits of dental x-rays are well-known and accepted at this point. Yet, it’s important for peace of mind that you understand dental x-ray safety too.”

Dr. Cigno re-emphasizes in this piece, as he did in the last one, that x-rays are so important because it’s the only way a dentist can see (or know) what is going on in the far corners of your mouth and in and below your gums.

As he states, “Without dental x-rays, it’s very likely people would experience a great deal more issues with their teeth, gums, and jaw—and probably more pain too!”

Consequently, because dental x-rays are so necessary, dental x-ray safety has long been on the mind of dental professionals. While dental x-rays have always been among the safest radiographs that exist, they continue to become even safer with recent innovations and advances.

Dr. Cigno also says he has been writing a lot about x-rays recently because he feels it’s important for his patients – and others – to fully understand not only how necessary they are, but how incredibly safe they are too.

From there, he explains exactly why this is so—why he can assure that dental x-rays are safe for your entire family. For example—lower-than-ever x-ray doses and new-and-improved film that can process faster, requiring less radiation exposure overall.
