The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Rose Simbizi, RN, BSN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Rose Simbizi is a Registered Nurse and Nurse Manager with eleven years of experience and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially post-acute care, dementia, and long term care. Rose is currently serving patients as Assistant Director of Nurses at Wintonbury Care Center, LLC in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Furthermore, she is affiliated with Saint Francis Hospital.

Rose Simbizi graduated with her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts in 2006 from Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts, followed by her Nursing Degree in 2008 from the same educational venue. An advocate for continuing education, Rose then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2014 from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois, and holds additional certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner and is VOHRA Wound Physician Certified. Working as the Assistant Director of Nurses, Rose assists the DNS by keeping her informed about the daily happenings to insure smooth function. She starts the day by putting together clinical follow ups for Nurse Managers, and makes sure that all three shifts work as a team to accomplish the facility’s number one goal of “resident safety.” Furthermore, she has taken part in the facility’s innovations by changing and implementing new policies for better patients care outcomes.

To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in the nursing field, Rose maintains a professional membership with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, and she is also a member of the NADONA Massachusetts Chapter. She attributes her success to being a people person, believing that all care comes from the heart, and her background in teaching. She also attributes her success to her parents, her mother a professional midwife, and her father a physician’s assistant, who have always kept medical jobs with a professional mindset. Rose spends her time listening to her patient’s and getting to know them, so she is able to put a smile back on their face.
