An Estimated 67 Million Individuals In The United States May Suffer From Arthritis By 2030

Portland, OR - December 4, 2014 - Arthritis is a condition that is destroying the lives of millions of people around the globe, with many sufferers struggling to live a day without pain. The number of arthritis sufferers is increasing, and researchers are afraid that its prevalence will continue to skyrocket.

The National Health Interview Survey has predicted that by 2030, there will be an estimated 67 million Americans who will suffer from doctor-diagnosed arthritis. With the rate at which prevalence is increasing, there is a great chance that this prediction will be realized.

67 million is tantamount to 25% of the adult population in the United States. It is also believed that 9% of this number will report activity limitations that are attributable to arthritis. It is believed that 50% of the arthritis cases in 2030 will be among individuals that are 65 years and above. While one third of the arthritis cases will be among working-age adults that are 45 to 64 years old.

“The projected increase of arthritis sufferers by 2030 is substantial and will significantly affect the health care system and society in general. What is even more alarming is that many people are also suffering from obesity, which contributes to the high prevalence of arthritis,” said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O’Sullivan.

U.S. health officials state that over 50 million people in the United States are suffering from arthritis and many of them are unable to perform their daily routines. Experts believe that the increase in the prevalence of arthritis has to do with the obesity epidemic and the aging of the U.S. population.

“Osteoarthritis can be caused by the normal wear and tear of the joints. However, experts believe that making the joints stronger can protect them from the damage that leads to arthritis. There are known remedies available that are believed to be helpful in repairing and restoring the health of the joints,” added O’Sullivan.

The estimated number of arthritis sufferers by 2030 can possibly be reduced if people will take the necessary measures needed to take good care of their joint health. According to experts, arthritis can be prevented by managing weight and avoiding obesity.

Many individuals who belong to the aging population are taking measures to avoid arthritis. According to them, using natural alternatives such as glucosamine supplements is beneficial to their joint health. They believe that the therapeutic benefits of glucosamine can significantly help them regain and maintain joint health as well as save them from arthritis (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-BioPerine-Bio-availability/dp/B00JA4TLTI).
