IVF Miracle Baby Conceived Getting Assistance From Spanish Clinic

With more than 10 years of anguish, one UK couple finally get their In Vitro Fertilisation miracle baby delivered, after a Spanish fertility clinic assists to make their dreams become a reality.

The Daily Mirror has recently published a story about a UK couple's triumphant miracle quest following 3 miscarriages, and 6 cycles of IVF treatment, costing over 90.000 Pounds Sterling. The paper says that Helen Proctor had been through several years trying to get pregnant, with her other half Marc even needing to take a year off from work, however their dream child Blake has now ended up being a reality. The saying goes that you can't put a price tag on being happy, though in the case of Helen and Marc Proctor there's no questioning you can, as in spite of their heartbreak, the couple never ever gave up hoping by pouring everything they had into fertility treatments, which have actually eventually helped Helen conceive baby Blake, who is now 12 weeks old.

After getting wed in 2007, the couple promptly started attempting for a baby, though with hubby Marc working for a private security firm in Iraq, the couple were not left with many opportunities to get the job done, resulting in his decision to take a year off so he would be able to concentrate on getting Helen pregnant. 10 months on and still no success, the couple asked their regional clinic, Wessex Fertility, for help, as Helen didn't meet the strict age requirements for IVF in their location. Helen said... "It was a long drawn out procedure, however we did eventually get a positive answer in the end. It had not been long though before we knew something was not quite right but the doctors just kept telling us that we were being impatient. It was apparent to me that there was a hidden problem, however at this stage I wanted to do anything to make it happen."

Helen then decided to pay £60 on a test at a private hospital, and was stunned when the results revealed she had a low egg count, indicating it wasn't possible to conceive naturally. She stated... "It was devastating news, however it simply spurred me on even more, understanding that IVF was now our only alternative. In January 2009, we paid £8,000 for the very first IVF cycle at Wessex Fertility, followed by another two rounds the very same year, which cost a further £16,000, but unfortunately all attempts failed." Further tests exposed that Helen had endometriosis, making it much more not likely they would be able to conceive.

A trip to a leading Harley Street doctor was needed for the 4th IVF cycle, costing another £9,000 plus travel costs, however once again success was not coming. Finally, another medical professional verified that Helen's eggs were dark, grainy and bad quality, so she was advised to use an egg contributor. The couple consented to the advice, however with UK legislation preventing them from finding an anonymous egg benefactor at home, they were given no other option than going to an IVF clinic in Spain. She said... "We decided we didn't want our baby going out looking for their egg benefactor, but thankfully our local clinic had a sister IVF clinic in Spain, where confidential egg donation is allowed."

Finally on 5th December in 2013, Helen had two embryos transferred and four days later tested positive. She stated... "I was so afraid. I wasn't sure if I was strong enough to make it through the whole procedure again, however after just one month, a scan showed I was carrying twins, and confirming that each had a strong heartbeat." A due date of 27th August was given, however it was to be on April 28th that Helen's waters in fact broke. Blake came back home in September gone, with Helen saying... "I can not describe how it feels to hold him in my arms," with hubby Marc including... "I 'd go through the procedure a million times in order to have my boy."
