Excision Remix Album reaches #1 on iTunes in US and Canada

Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada (PRBuzz.com) September 5, 2012 -- Excision X-Rated: The Remixes was released Sept 3rd on Deadmau5's Mau5trap record label. In less than 48 hours it has landed on top of the iTunes dance chart in both the US and Canada.

The Excision remix album is chalk full of talented remixers including Far Too Loud, Dirtyphonics, Lucky Date, Space Laces, High Rankin, Xilent, Loadstar, Eptic, Specimen A, Calyx & TeeBee, and Elite Force, this remix album comes almost a year to the day of the original X-Rated album release. With no real promotional push other than uploads to the UKF Youtube channel, as well as Excision's Youtube channel the week prior to the release, the almost immediate success of the X-Rated Remixes can be attributed to the power of the music on the album and the current popularity of dubstep.

Bass music diehards across the planet are scrambling to choose their favorite remixes, while music blogs all over the internet are uploading and streaming tracks from the album to draw listeners to their sites. Denver, CO based Dubstep.net is featuring the Eptic remix of Excision & Datsik's "8-Bit Super Hero" which they describe as "a series of wildly jerking hyper-driving synths to lead the slowed-down and bubbly dubstep beat, Eptic has transformed the dark and boisterous "8-Bit Superhero" into a true arcade-inspired anthem that have dubstep fans worldwide skanking feverishly to the beat."

With so many big name remixers on one album, its tough to pick a stand out. As the Beatport sales start showing results on their charts we may find out in the next few days which of these anthemic reworkings will be dominating dance floors for the months to come.

Excision "X-Rated: The Remixes" is available to download now from Beatport and iTunes.
