“ A Line in the Sand: The Story of America’s First Surf Park” will premier on December 6th, 2017 at the esteemed Museum of Photographic art, located at Balboa Park in San Diego, California.

"A Line in the Sand" is a historical documentary that chronicles the history of surfing in San Diego and the compelling events that led to the creation of Tourmaline Canyon Surfing Park. Entirely filmed in San Diego, "A Line in the Sand” explores San Diego's rich history of beach surfing culture and lifeguarding, highlighting the inspiring as well as fascinating events that led to the creation of Tourmaline canyon.

"A Line in the Sand” features interviews with legendary surfers, Skip Frye, Hank Warner, Mike Hynson, Floyd Smith and Marshall Malcolm as well as many other local San Diego surfers. These pioneers of surfing share remarkable stories about Tourmaline Canyon and all the political and social events that led to it becoming America’s first surf park.

Resulting Impact Film Productions is the production company behind the documentary. "A Line in the Sand” and is the second film to be produced through this innovative new company.
