Nuttin but Love 4 Omega Single by 1911Music Group

MIAMI, FLORIDA (June 29, 2017) – 1911 Music Group will commercially release the Nielsen BDS Radio #1 single, “Nuttin But Love 4 Omega.” The single pays homage to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., utilizing an Old-School / Hip-Hop Rap flavor combined with New School beats. Performed by 1911, “Nuttin But Love 4 Omega” highlights many elements of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s history, intertwined with social messages and coupled within an expression of love for the brotherhood.

The single has a four-pronged social responsibility purpose. The first is to increase awareness about the nature of sickle cell disease and its cure. Second, to raise funds to produce a documentary on living with sickle cell entitled, “Bloodied But Unbowed.” The third is to raise funds for sickle cell education, research, and support mechanisms. Fourth, the single pays homage to the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and their historic contributions to our society. Note, 25% of the funds generated by the single will go towards funding the documentary and an additional 25% donated for sickle cell education, research, and advocacy.

Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited, chronic blood disorder affecting more than100,000 Americans while sickle cell trait affects millions. Sickle red blood cells become crystallized,  sticky, pointed, and sickle-shaped. These cells can block small blood vessels, clog blood flow, and break apart. This causes pain, organ damage, anemia, or stroke. Children inherit Sickle Cell Disease from both parents who may be carriers of sickle cell trait or sickle cell disease. An individual who inherits the sickle gene from only one parent and the normal gene from the other parent will have Sickle Cell Trait. Sickle Cell trait is not a disease. Nationwide, the sickle trait is present in 1 in 12 African-Americans and 1 in 1,000 Hispanics. Sickle Cell Disease exists in many nationalities including African-Americans, Arabs, Greeks, Italians, Latin Americans, and persons from the Mediterranean and India.

"We’re really excited to help increase awareness of sickle cell and use the platform of music to support this cause", says the1911 Music Group. Nuttin But Love 4 Omega will be released on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, along with several streaming platforms on September 1, 2017.
