Pilot for New Dramedy to Film at Popular Staten Island Restaurant

Main cast features major names in the world of acting, including an ‘All My Children’ alumna; a variety of other unique shows also available on channel.

Staten Island, NY (April 13, 2017) - A new series called 'Coveting Veronica' is filming its pilot episode at the popular Staten Island restaurant, Aunt Butchie's of Brooklyn. The leading stars of the show are Alicia Minshew and former boxer-turned-actor, John Duddy (formerly the Derry Destroyer). Duddy is best known for his role as Ken Buchanan in the Robert DeNiro film 'Hands of Stone,' as well as a boxer in the Bon Jovi music video for 'Because We Can.' Minshew, of course, is best known for her role as fan-favorite Kendall Hart, who for a decade played opposite Susan Lucci on the beloved ABC daytime soap opera, ‘All My Children.’

Coveting Veronica follows the life of free spirit Veronica, played by Minshew, who marries Duddy's character, yet still harbors unresolved feelings for her best friend (played by the gorgeous Eddie Cordiano). What unfolds is a delicious triangle filled with humor, love, angst and longing. To further fan the flames, actor, hottie and Staten Island local Anthony O'Connell plays alongside Minshew as her younger brother.

Filming will begin Monday, April 24th, at Aunt Butchie's in Staten Island; following the pilot episode, the rest of the first season of Coveting Veronica will be filmed in the central New Jersey area.

The show is being produced by the New Jersey-based Plin-Mar Productions, LLC. The main showrunner is Toni Ann Marcolini, a former Staten Island resident and graduate of St. John’s University.

Coveting Veronica is slotted to stream on the Silver Tree Entertainment channel on Vimeo, which is available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, X-Box 360, Chromecast, Samsung TV, and all Apple, Android and Windows mobile devices.  Information about the shows can be found at www.silvertreetv.com, as well as the Silver Tree TV app available for download at the Google Play Store (IOS available shortly).

Also streaming in the Silver Tree TV lineup are a host of other great shows. The drama-filled 'A Hundred Indecisions’ centers on the competition between two brothers and the heavy impact this has on their family. It stars Kelly Wray, Anthony Crescenzo, Rob Epple and Anna Bella Michelino. This is definitely the “Oh no he didn’t!” series that is sure to keep viewers hooked.

Additionally, there is a fascinating cooking show starring Martin Mongiello, the former White House Chef to Bill and Hillary Clinton, and curator at the Presidential Culinary Museum. In his show, ‘Dining with Chef Marti,’ Mongiello shares antidotes from his years at the White House and Camp David, along with his favorite recipes (and even throws in a few funny historical tidbits).

And for those who love jokes, there is ‘Stand Up Laughing,’ an exciting feature which showcases the diverse and talented comedians at the Comedy Cove in Springfield, New Jersey.

Make sure to tune-in to these programs. And don't forget to watch for Aunt Butchie’s of Brooklyn in Coveting Veronica.
