Senior at Pell City High School Wins the Steven M. Sweat Annual College Scholarship Essay Competition

Hannah Sweatt, a senior at Pell City High School in Alabama, has been announced as the winner of the Steven M. Sweat Annual College Scholarship Essay Competition. The Law Offices of Steven M. Sweat, APC, will award a $1,000 scholarship to Sweatt to help the prospective college student meet the costs associated with obtaining a degree.

 

The scholarship contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who are currently attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university in the United States. Finalists are selected based on their demonstrated potential success in their chosen field of study, quality of writing, originality, and thoughtfulness of the response. As the winner of the Steven M. Sweat Annual College Scholarship Essay Competition, Hannah Sweatt is recognized as the most qualified applicant among 300 applicants nationwide.

 

While at Pell City High School, Sweatt has been a member of the cheerleading team. This fall she plans to attend the University of Alabama where she will study secondary education.
