McKesson Corp. to Distribute My Girls Cream to CarePlus CVS/pharmacies

BOSTON, Mass. ( March 26, 2012 -- McKesson Corporation will stock My Girls Cream for radiation patients who are referred by their radiation oncology nurse or physician to their local CarePlus CVS/pharmacy or CVS/pharmacy.  Due to an evidence-based study on topical agents conducted by the Oncology Nursing Society in 2011, many radiation oncology clinicians are aware of the protective benefits of calendula, a key ingredient in the plant-based, fragrance and dye-free My Girls Cream (formerly known as My Girl's Radiation Cream).  My Girls Cream is now sampled at more than fifty hospitals and radiation treatment centers in the U.S. as a result of breast cancer patients using it with successful results.  Radiation patients may request My Girls Cream at the pharmacy counter of CarePlus CVS/pharmacy in San Francisco, CA, San Antonio, TX, Nashville, TN, and Worcester, MA.  Select CVS/pharmacies located near sampling hospitals may also order My Girls Cream from their local McKesson distribution center.  More retailers may be found online via

"So far, just one patient has used My Girls Cream and she absolutely loved it. This cream worked wonders for her.  Her skin literally healed up overnight.  The redness, discomfort, and itchiness were relieved immediately.  In her words, "the cream is so soothing" and she liked that it's non-greasy too. Presently we are providing Aquaphor for our patients, but I'm working with the staff and our manager to order My Girls Cream as an option for our patients."  St. Francis Hospital, San Francisco.

One of the key ingredients in My Girls Cream is Calendula, extracted from the flower of the marigold plant, and is documented in the U.S. Homeopathic Pharmacopeia for its helpful benefits with burns, eczema, acne and skin irritations. As a result, many My Girls Cream customers use the cream after radiation treatment ends for their face and body because of its benefits on maintaining healthy skin and because it is fragrance and dye-free.

"I decided to order some again just to use in general because I liked it so well - it goes on very gently and it contains only healthful and healing ingredients."  Wendee McCoy, Cottage Grove, MN, breast cancer survivor and My Girls fan.

Radiation oncology clinicians like My Girls Cream because it helps patients avoid treatment delays associated with radiation burns but also because of its non-greasy and non-staining creamy texture that spreads easily over irradiated skin.  As a result, some radiation oncology clinicians also now recommend it for head and neck cancers, and one physician is compounding it as a prescription with hydrocortisone and lydocaine for skin that has already become compromised.

"I think My Girls Cream should be in front of every cancer patient and every medical professional in the cancer business.  The name alone brings comfort and we all know what the other benefits are."  Eileen Tye, breast cancer survivor and My Girls fan.

Theresa Keresztes is the founder and president of Radiant Sun an eCommerce retailer and distributor of My Girls Cream, a calendula-based cream formulated for people looking for fragrance and dye-free cream to help maintain the healthy appearance of their skin after radiation therapy treatments. Ms. Keresztes discovered the cream in Hungary and developed it for cancer survivors after undergoing radiation for breast cancer at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2008.
