Fairfield Ohio Mother Wages Fight Against Small Cell Lung Cancer

Fairfield Ohio Mother Wages Fight Against Small Cell Lung Cancer

An extraordinary Butler county Ohio woman, Kendra Blackburn-Hardy was recently diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer.   Kendra’s family and friends have recently started a GoFundMe crowd funding page in effort to assist with day to day expenses such as rent, bills and utilities as she can no longer work.   Kendra is currently fighting hard against the disease with chemotherapy.

Small Cell Lung Cancer is a cancer in which malignant cancer cells form in the tissues of the lung.  There are 2 types of Small Cell Lung Cancer, with smoking being the major risk factor to both variants.  Signs and symptoms of small cell lung cancer include coughing, shortness of breath and chest pain.  The 2 types of small cell lung cancer are small cell carcinoma (oat cell cancer) and combined small cell carcinoma.

Tests, procedures and treatment for small cell lung cancer are extremely expensive.  With rapidly rising healthcare costs, it was imperative for Kendra’s family to take action.  She could use support and donations at the GoFundMe page supporting her at: https://www.gofundme.com/fight-with-kendra.  Her daughter lives over 1,000 miles away and is helping spread the word to as many people possible through various outlets including social media, press and more.  Kendra is loved by many family and friends who could use support during these trying times.
