Outskirts Press Announces the Release of New Juvenile Fiction: Brenby Conquers the Sea by Cobra Chamblee

June 2, 2017 – Denver, CO and Amarillo, TX – Outskirts Press—the fastest-growing full-service self-publishing and book marketing company—is pleased to announce the release of Brenby Conquers the Sea, a charming new children’s book featuring a young orca and Brenby the squirrel.

[Brenby Conquers the Sea] Although Brenby has mastered the art of leaping between the highest trees, he is terrified of the water surrounding his island. But when he meets a young orca who has been separated from her family, his fear nearly prevents him from helping her. Savannah explains that she breathes air too—so they’re not nearly as different as they seem—and convinces Brenby that he will be safe with her. So he takes a leap of faith and plunges off a cliff onto the orca’s back!

Together they circle the island, searching for Savannah’s family, and Brenby quickly adapts to the water. The orca begins leaping through the sea, with the squirrel holding on like a cowboy on a horse, mastering the sea the way he’s mastered the trees. Finally, Savannah is reunited with her family, and she and Brenby plan to meet again the next day. Both animals have overcome their fears and made a new friend. More importantly, they discover they are stronger than they had believed, and despite their differences, the squirrel and the orca have more in common than they knew.
