Anthony Segil, recently hit the Amazon.com best-seller list with his new book, Love Notes: Letters from Parents to Children.

Los Angeles, California–– Anthony Segil, thought leader, entrepreneur, philanthropist and author, wrote the book, Love Notes: Letters from Parents to Children.  It was released on November 15, 2016.

After its release, Love Notes: Letters from Parents to Children was a #1 new release on Amazon.com.  In addition, it achieved best-seller status on Amazon.com - reaching as high as #4 in the category “Single Parenting”. The publication also reached a #2 ranking kindle book for morals and responsibility and hit as high as 11,660 in the entire Amazon.com library of over 3 million books.

Kids Fun Channel describes the book:

Love Notes: Letters From Parentsto Children is, as its name suggests, a book of letters written by parents.  Each letter is intended to be read by the parent’s child either immediately or later in life.  The letters range widely, including letters to young babies about their parent’s hopes and dreams to letters for young adults going through a difficult time (and everything in between).  Every letter has a different message and therefore there are reasons to read each and every one.  The author of this book really thought out the different themes for each chapter and drives home the importance of saying what’s important to our children with each letter.  It’s really a lovely book that makes every parent feel good about their feelings towards their children.

While the letters will speak for themselves, I feel it’s important to understand the basis for the book.  On that note, the author Anthony Segil starts off by giving us the story of his four year old nephew who was diagnosed with leukemia.  It’s not a long story, but it hits home as to why it’s so important to tell your children (your family…and really anyone important in your life) how you feel about them.  It depicts the spirit of the book so well that it sets you up for the rest of the letters, and I really think it brings the whole book together.  I also found it a bit inspiring, and I’m going to now write a letter to my son to post on this site (watch for that)!

All the royalties are being donated!

One of the other things I like is that each chapter includes a short prelude to the 4-5 letters found in the chapter.  The author takes the time to setup why he chose the theme and how it relates to us and our lives at parents.  I find each one of these a great kickoff to each chapter and the letters that ensue.

With most of the letters coming directly from parents, I found myself relating to what each parent was feeling.  It’s nice to actually feel a little choked up over how much you care about another being, and I’d suggest to you that this book does nothing but helps you to improve your relationship with your child.  As I’ve read the letters, I’ve found myself feeling more and more like I could do and be more to my little toddler.

I can honestly say that this is something every parent (or parent-to-be) should have at home.  When those days come where you’re pulling your hair out, feel gross, and are truly at your wits’ end, a simple read of one of the letters contained in this book will save your soul.
