Green Cars for Status Heating Fleet

(PRBuzz.com) April 2, 2012 -- In February 2012 Status Heating became the first Company in England to take delivery of the fully electric Citroen C-Zero cars.

The environmentally-aware company has specified its first C-Zero electric car for a large new housing association contract in Worcester, some 20 miles from its Birmingham base. Status and WM Housing Group have installed charging points at their offices.

The delivery of the Citroën C-Zero all-electric city cars is a part of an order for over 20 Citroën Nemo and Berlingo Enterprise vans.

"As a company we are actively engaged in reducing the carbon footprint of our operation. When we gained this new contract the C-Zero was the ideal candidate with its zero emissions, silent and low-cost operation. We have also found that Citroën has the wide range of vehicle types to match our operational requirements. We have enjoyed excellent service from both Citroën Redditch, the vehicle supplying dealer, and Dryden Citroën, the maintaining dealer," said Leigh Skillet, Status' Finance Director.

According to Motor Trade News, "the Nemo and Berlingo Enterprise vans have been fitted with ply lining, 70mph speed limiters and anti-theft alarms. The Nemo and Berlingo vans' standard specification Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation system is complemented by the low cost option of Trafficmaster's Fleet Director - a real-time fleet management system, which uses the same advanced telematics platform."

No matter type of car commercial fleets people use, trade plan insurance reminds everyone to check insurance policies to make sure the vehicles will be fully covered. If not already insured, look for insurance brokers and make sure to get a motor fleet insurance immediately!
