E-mail Print PDF

When writing your press release, don't forget to add a dateline.

A dateline is the City, State, Country (PR Buzz) month day, year that starts the first paragraph of your press release.

See examples here:

Hartford, CT (PR Buzz) October 6, 2009 -- Begin first paragraph here...

New York, NY (PR Buzz) September 24, 2009 -- Begin first paragraph here...

Pittsburgh, PA (PR Buzz) November 4, 2009 -- Begin first paragraph here...

If you put the wrong date in your press releases dateline, we will correct it to the current date. The dateline is important to anyone reading your press release because they want to know when and where your news happened. Readers expect all professional press releases to include a dateline.
