(Los Angeles, November 10, 2006) What does World War II have to do with our youngest generation? Plenty, say the producer of WORLD WAR II DAILY (www.WW2daily.com ), a Web-based educational/ entertainment destination. Just in time for Veteran’s Day, the site is debuting a web page creator which allows Web users, particularly students to post a page tribute to a family World War II veteran, including unit information, length of service, an essay on their involvement and a photograph.

“It’s important that young people understand how their relatives sacrificed to win that war,” says WORLD WAR II DAILY producer and founder Steven Jay Rubin who learned about the war from his father who brought home paperback books when Steve was a child. “It doesn’t hurt to teach how truly great this country became by winning World War II and helping save the world from fascism,” he continued. “Leadership is all about inspiration and that war inspired a generation of leaders.

“Unfortunately, we’re losing our World War II vets at a rapid clip and this may be the last chance for our youngest generation to make an historical connection. Every veteran’s story is part of the bigger history of the Second World War. Most of our youngsters have no idea that they have this direct connection to the dramatic events of those days,” concluded Rubin, who recently discovered that his aunt and uncle lived across the alley from World War II Marine hero, Guy Gabaldon, who single-handedly captured 1500 Japanese on Saipan in 1944.

The cost for posting a tribute on WORLD WAR II DAILY is $29.95 which includes the web page on ww2daily.com and a certificate that commemorates the sacrifice of the honoree (which can then be gift wrapped for occasions like birthdays or, if the veteran is deceased, can be sent to surviving family members). The listing is open to all veterans of all sexes, regardless of whether they saw combat. Rubin claims it’s a small price to pay for giving the “Greatest Generation” a special salute. “It also puts the young people to work doing the heavy lifting – interviewing, filling out the form, writing the essay and finding the appropriate photograph. And, in the end, it brings the two generations together to discuss how the family contributed to the war effort.”

WORLD WAR II DAILY debuted on September 11th and currently features a daily newscast of the events in the war in real time on www.WW2daily.com . The site also features columns, features, blog capability and movies of the month. Original programming, including movies and television shows, will be rolled out in 2007.
