Why a little knowledge about horse racing is a good thing
October 23, 2007
Oct 23, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --West Yorkshire-based executive travel service Groupclass have teamed up with leading racehorse trainer Ann Duffield to offer Yorkshire professionals unique insights into the world of British horseracing.

Groupclass Taster Days start by rendezvousing at some of the region’s premier hotels & restaurants, where clients will then be picked up & chauffeured to Ann’s yard in Constable Burton, right at the heart of Yorkshire’s racing country.

Following a private tour of the stables & facilities, the party can then enjoy breakfast with Ann & meet her husband, racing legend ‘Gentleman’ George Duffield – the seventh most successful jockey in the history of the sport.

Among the topics covered in a question & answer session will be: how the handicapping system works, horse conformation & what to look for in the paddock before placing a bet at the races.

Groupclass director Tony Whitfield explains: “The Taster Days are designed to widen the appeal of racing within the corporate sector. By teaming up with Ann & George, we can ensure employers not only provide their clients & staff a fabulous day out, but also gain professional guidance to the array of benefits the sport offers on a business level.”

Ann expands: “In working with Groupclass to arrange these special taster days, we are not only helping to break new ground in corporate race-day entertainment but, also offering the chance for companies to explore the concept of attracting attention from potential clients who are already involved with racing.
