Lake Oswego OR. -- May 10, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- On Thursday, May 3, the
Westside Christian High School Concert Choir took first place in the 3A
OSAA State Choir competition held at George Fox University. This is
Westside's first year competing in the 3A division which includes
Catlin Gabel, Oregon Episcopal, and other schools having 236-400
students. Choirs are rated for sound quality, technique, musicality,
choice of music and appearance, as well as sight singing.

Westside is no stranger to state honors, taking 1st place 3 times
since 2000. This win was especially meaningful because Bob Crews, the
school's choir director since1993 took a leave of absence for the
second half of the school year, and Kristy Moore the former accompanist
was named interim choir director with only 5 weeks until the first
competition. Westside soloists included freshman Jacob Eitzen, junior
Thomas Cadonau, and seniors Lizzie Goeken & Alyson Quatier.

The entire community is invited to hear this year's award winning
choir at their spring concert on May 23, 2007 at 7:30 at the school;
4565 Carman Drive, Lake Oswego, OR 97035.

Westside Christian High School was founded in 1981 with a mission
to equip servant leaders in God's Kingdom for the next generation by
educating and developing the whole person for the glory of God.
