TURNAROUND SPECIALISTS FOUND NEW INVESTMENT FIRM

CENTURY CITY, CA, NOVEMBER 9, 2006: Gemelli Group, a strategic investment and consulting firm, has been founded by brothers David and Richard Ellis, with headquarters in Century City, California. The brothers recently left Buxbaum Group, a California turnaround investment firm, where they were President / COO and Executive Vice President, respectively. Gemelli (which translates as “twin” from Italian) is currently active in pursuing several transactions.

“We are looking for investment transactions in which we can create value through our experience in international sourcing, process engineering, and branding,” said Richard Ellis. “In addition,” adds David Ellis, “we will continue to offer this same expertise through our restructuring and appraisal consulting services.”

The Ellis brothers have a history of successful acquisitions and divestments in a wide array of industries. David Ellis was recently a team member in the turnaround and sale of Rampage Clothing Company to Iconix Brand Group and has extensive expertise in the apparel and food processing industries. Richard Ellis, a co-founder of CheckPoint Systems from which he successfully divested, spent over a decade in the oil and gas industry and has broad experience in asset-based lending, as well.
