Turkey-based Yap1-Tek Çelik Sanayi Resumes Operations
September 28, 2007
Sep 28, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi A.Ş. (YTÇS), Turkey’s oldest supplier of forged automotive components, resumed production today following an extended hiatus. The reopening of the 20,000 ton/year capacity plant provides automotive manufactures a cost-effective, quality subcontracting solution - filling the gap created by frequent closures of forging plants across Europe over the past decade.

Recommencement of production also marks the completion of facility-wide technological, mechanical and staffing upgrades commissioned following the company’s 2005 acquisition by Yapı-Tek, an Ankara, Turkey-based conglomerate.

Along with agricultural, construction and military vehicle parts, YTÇS historically supplied forged components for the world’s most recognized passenger car manufactures, including Mercedes, Renault, Ford, et al. Custom forgings undertaken at YTÇS include safety-critical parts such as transmission, power train and steering system components.

“Our innovative customer partnership program and state-of-the-art facility upgrades reposition Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi as one of the most cost-effective, quality-oriented forging facilities in the world,” explains Gunay Kose, President of YTÇS. “We are reentering the market at a critical point. Automotive manufacturers find it increasingly difficult to find quality forging partners. We offer a source of relief within a now bleak marketplace.”

Turkey-based Yapı-Tek Çelik Sanayi Ltd is a dynamic subcontracting partner for forged automotive system components.
