Torquere Press opening a new subsidiary

Austin, Texas -- Apr 16, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- Torquere Press, Inc. is pleased to announce a new subsidiary press, Bareback Angels, focusing on traditional romance, erotic romance and ménage romance.

Why create a new subsidiary? Bareback Angels was created on the encouragement of authors who have worked with Torquere Press and are interested in working with us as publishers outside of the solely gay and lesbian romance realm.

Who we're looking for - writers of well-told het and m/m/f and f/f/m romances and erotic romances, especially those with a Western twist, or a Southern flair. Novels will be considered in all genres and styles, provided the writing is sound. We're also actively purchasing ménage titles as well as novels for our subscription service opening in January 2008. There are multiple lines to submit to - from Saddle Up (novella length stories featuring threesomes and cowboys) to Three's A Charm (which is a line for urban fantasy menage) to Amuse-bouche's - our short story line.

We're also seeking cover artists and proofreaders.

What we offer - 35% royalties on ebooks, 8% royalties on print books, with author incentives based on sales. Professional cover artists, a built-in marketing system, and top-notch editorial staff, as well as a proven track record in the publishing field. All novel-length books may be considered for a print contract.

When are we opening our doors? Bareback Angels is currently reading for all lengths and genres. Our first title - BA Tortuga's Sara's Cowboy - Will premiere June 1, 2007.
