Apr 19, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --  The I.E. SUMMER FEST is a school fundraiser designed to promote positive messages to the students in the Inland Empire. The event combines music and live entertainment in an effort to raise funds for local area schools. The purpose of the show is to provide inspirational messages about determination, achievement, and success toward a brighter future by showing students that there are alternatives to self destructive decisions and lifestyles.

As an accomplished Hollywood actor and Hip Hop musical artist, ALLEN MALDONADO has overcome many life changing obstacles. Rising above these challenges to pursue his career in entertainment, he has been featured in television shows such the popular daytime drama “THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS”, the Emmy award winning series “THE SHIELD” and the starring role of “MJ” in the FOX hit series “STANDOFF.” His most recent film credits include the role of “GOATEE” in the Mega Blockbuster Hit “DIE HARD 4” starring BRUCE WILLIS coming out this summer, and he is currently in the early production stages of a new horror film titled “MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN” starring BROOKE SHIELDS.

In an effort to give back to the community of which he credits to have molded him, Maldonado has invited a few Hollywood friends and special celebrity guests to participate in this ground breaking event. The I.E. Summer Fest, presented by Maldonado’s company IT’S EASY ENTERTAINMENT, is scheduled to take place from 4:30pm to 8:30pm Friday, May 18th at the Carter High School Football Stadium. The show will be hosted by the Inland Empire’s hottest radio station, WILD 96.1 FM air personalities Cecilia “Da Mamacita”, Chris Loos and Big “D”.

Celebrity guest appearances by Kiko Ellsworth of “BAD BOYS 2”, Nate Parker of the new movie “PRIDE”, Cisco Reyes of “EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS”, Kwame Patterson of “THE WIRE”, Christina Fandino of “MAXIM”, and Jazz Raycole of ABC’s “JERICHO”. Live musical performances by Da Truth Records recording artists “Poc Dawone” aka Allen Maldonado and “Ski Luv”, the I.E.’s very own “Diamonique”, the R&B songstress “Destenee”, vocal group “S1”, and hip hop dance troupe Culture Shock Los Angeles. More artists and celebrity guests are soon to be announced!

Tickets will be made available April 2nd through each campus’s ASB office and a percentage of all ticket sales will be donated back to the school. As an added incentive, the school with the highest number of students in attendance will be crowned the “KINGS OF THE I.E.”!
