The New York side of Reggaeton
May 15, 2007
Out of all the upcoming artists in New York's reggaeton movement, Lokixximo is what the game has been missing, hot lyrics, catchy flows and a down to earth attitude. They first floated to the surface of the underground scene in 2004 with "Quiero Perriar Contigo" an impressive club banger debut that not only highlighted their lirical ability to make good music but also caught the attention that they needed to push their heavily anticipated debut, "Los Locos Tambien Comen", expected to be released this Summer 2007.

Already underground legends in their hometown, with one award for best duo in 2006 and over 40+ tracks deep into their career, Lokixximo is nothing if not consistent, a dedicated team, along with their super producer Add On they have manage to stay on top of their game for all this years, whether from the pages of newspapers or from the regular folks hanging on the street corner, Lokixximo has received countless high reviews before the release of their official album.

Lokixximo states that a lot people don't respect reggaeton because they say the musical pattern sounds the same,", people hear a different genre when they hear Lokixximo Music, because of the way we create our music we don't listen to radio or what's hot out there, because somehow artists who listen to other artists they start writing and flowing the same after a while, that's why you got now all this anti-reggaeton people out there, just ignorant people that don't know about music, we know what sounds hot and we never stick to the same formula, that's why you hear thousands of upcoming artists sounding the same, If you're an artist you need to be unique, that's why many record labels ain't selling , your music is what represents you, and you need to create your own path and look for your next hit in the same way, we know that a lot signed reggaeton artists are feeling that pressure of what is their next hit single and if they are going to sell, we don't got that pressure, we are here just to keep making good music, you can call it reggaeton or Latin Hip Hop, they started calling us the next reggaeton stars, that's flattering, but at the end of the day we are just doing what we love, writing songs and recording, we do it to the best of our ability and that's why our fans are always there for us.
