London's art duo The Girls have a solo show, 'Raised by Wolves', at the Burlington Club in Mayfair, this will run until 2 February.

The Girls are British artists Andrea Blood and Zoe Sinclair, aged 31, whose award-winning collaboration began eleven years ago while both were students at Central Saint Martins. The Girls colourful surreal art consists of staged, often multi-layered, portrait photography of women, including self portraiture.

The curator of The Burlington Club, Stephen Mahoney, said "I first met The Girls nine years ago during their first incarnation when they wore matching pink outfits and spoke like the Midwich Cuckoos! For me their work evokes Gilbert & George and Cindy Sherman, but with a contemporary, adventurous twist. We are delighted to host their first solo show."

Among the most striking works in the exhibition is a 3 metre multiple self-portrait inspired by Ouija board sessions in which the artists appear 16 times at different ages, entitled 'The Embodied Soul Passes Through Girlhood to Death'; and 'The Garden Party', a quintessentially English image derived from the erotic Japanese ritual of 'Nyotaimori' – the artists replace sushi with afternoon tea, both amusing and unsettling the viewer by keying into images of a repressed Britannia.

Whilst occasionally manipulating their images digitally, at the heart of The Girls processes are techniques from the past including collage. Another important aspect of the work is that the duo source their own costumes and props. Prices for limited edition signed c-type prints, 3 per edition, range from £500 to £5,000.

The Burlington Club is just off Regent Street at 12 New Burlington Street, W1. It is open to the public Monday - Saturday 6pm - 10.30pm, and is strictly members only after 10.30pm. The nearest tube stations are Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus.

The Girls, Andrea Blood (b. 1975) and Zoe Sinclair (b. 1976), met aged 16 as school girls; they began collaborating eleven years ago during their first year at Central Saint Martins. The Girls have previously exhibited in group exhibitions at The National Portrait Gallery, The Photographers' Gallery, The ICA, and the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art.
