Dec 07, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --PUBLIC NOTICE

To All Downunda Thunda Radio Friends and Supporters

Friday 7th December 2007

From: Phillip Gottschalk ~ Director of Marketing
Downunda Thunda Radio Pty Ltd

This is a Public Notice to announce that NanaMex has stood down as a Director of Downunda Thunda Radio.

NanaMex is presently unwell with some serious health issues and has been ordered to reduce her workload and responsibilities by her physician. We wish her all the best on a speedy recovery and continue to support her and the work she does for DTR. She will, however continue to present her weekly segments on Downunda Thunda Radio but will no longer be performing her executive management role at DTR.

There have been a number of changes of late at the DTR network and a few events that have taken place through no - one persons actions or faults. The main fault being and totally laying with communication and the lack thereof. I personally feel that this is totally unacceptable for an organisation that is founded on the principles of communication.

It has therefore been decided that, henceforth, I will be taking on the responsibilities of Managing Director as well as my normal duties of Director of Marketing. I have also appointed a volunteer Assistant Profile Manager. Alex, and she will be responsible for updating the DTR Qld site as well as the Victoria and South Australian profiles until such time as those posts have been filled.

All information and notices for those three sites can be directed to; This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

As is usual with a change of management, we are implementing a few changes and are restructuring the submission and waiver system that has been in place until now. We will still be webcasting the best that this country has to offer, in the way of all original Australian Independent Music content, 24/7 Worldwide. Fortunately, that rampaging giant never sleeps. Plans are also still in place for the Official Launch of DTR for the 1st February 2008.

The Material Release Form (Royalty Waiver Agreement) has been amended so that there is now a 60 day cancellation clause should either party wish to cease the agreement. The Material Release Form is also available on the DTR Website at this location: http://downundathundaradio.com.au/images/DTR_MATERIAL_RELEASE_FORM.pdf

This is an interactive form that you can fill out and submit online by clicking on the 'Submit Now by Email Only' button, which is located on the Material Release Form. Even though your name is only typed on the document it is a legally binding agreement because it is date and time stamped from your email program once you send it. For this reason the email address that you include on the agreement form must match the one that you send the email from.

If the email address, from which you send the form, differs from the email address on the form, the form will not be accepted and will be, politely, sent back for amendment.

There is also a new submission process for getting your music files, band bios and photos to DTR.

So, for all Indie artists that would like to have their original works played on DTR Webcast radio and be heard right around the globe, you can now submit your music online by going to the DTR 'File Upload Tool' at:
http://downundathundaradio.com.au/upload.html

Or, by sending your CD to our mailing address which is available on the website, http://downundathundaradio.com.au/contacts.html

No more MP3 file submissions will be accepted by email as this has been found to be too heavy on the DTR website and email bandwidth and is a cost that we are wanting to avoid. Bandwidth being what it is, expensive and precious.

The DTR 'File Upload Tool' lets you create your own vault, which you can either make public for other people to see , who visit the site, or you can enable your account to be a private vault, with only access to yourself and the DTR program staff for the purpose of obtaining your files and uploading them to the Webcast Stream Server.

These new procedures have been put into place so as to make the whole process of submitting your material easier and ensuring that we have the appropriate permissions in place to:

1. Protect and use your material for the purpose that it is intended. &

2. To safeguard your personal identity and agreements that you set in place with DTR.

DTR has a privacy policy that protects our clients from abuse and misuse of their personal details.

Privacy Policy

At no time are your personal details ever given or handed out to other third parties. The password that you establish your account with on the DTR 'File Upload Tool" is not stored in any of our systems. So if you lose your password for your DTR-File Upload vault , you simply click on the relevant link on site and the system will issue you with a new password which you can change once you gain access to your file storage area.

DTR is here for the long haul, and we are also here for the vast amount of Independent Australian Artists, Groups and Acts that desire to have their musical works presented to a wider audience, without the restrictions imposed by the main stream media and commercial outlets that are inaccessible to such independent artists.

We will also promote you and your music on the DTR Website where we have a 'Featured Artists' page and a poster wall on the 'Links' page, where we can display information about your gigs and CD releases. posters and banners.

Lastly there is the establishment of the Downunda Thunda Radio 'Backstage Forum'.

As is the case with most forum sites this area can be used for communicating and meeting other people who utilise the DTR services. You can post your wanted ads, items for sale and wanted to buy, meet and post questions to the DTR DJ's and a general discussion area for any topic you wish to discuss.

The main order of the day is the music, thats why your here, thats why we're here and that, above all else is the main reason why DTR is in existence. This is what DTR can do for you and we ask nothing in return only that you tell your friends about us. In a nice way.

One last thing , you can now download, off the DTR Website, the files and coding instructions for placing the DTR Player popup window onto your own website so that your friends can enjoy Downunda Thunda Radio without having to leave your site. You will also find a 'link to us' style button that can also be installed on your site if you don't want to place the player.

For those of you that know me, and to the DTR management, I say that I will endeavor to perform the duties that have been given to me with the utmost professionalism and responsibility that such positions are demanded of and require.

To those who do not know me, I hope that, that situation will change rapidly and that we enter into a lasting friendship and/or working relationship both from within DTR and to the many friends and supporters that DTR has already fostered. I am free and available for anybody to come and talk to me and my in-box is open 24/7 for all your inquiries, suggestions and criticisms, although I hope theres not too many of the latter.

Until then, thank you if you have made it this far in the epic, thank you for listening, reading, and above all, understanding.

Respectfully

Phillip Gottschalk
