Oct 29, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Saiyos Suwannahong, Director, General exhibition area in the 24th Motor Expo, said about "THE 8th MOTOR EXPO DESIGN AWARD 2007", “The design topic for this year is “Future vehicles stun the world” following the concept of the Expo. I believe the contest this year will be more intense, visitors should see creative ideas about future vehicles transformed into tangibles with the utmost commitment by young Thai talents”.

MOTOR EXPO DESIGN AWARD aims to promote motor trade and industry while upgrading academic automotive design courses in Thailand, paving the way for future automotive development as well as providing a source of visual education for students and the public. It is held in collaboration with 3 academic Institutes namely, the Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Department of Product Design, Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University, and Department of Industrial Design, Faculty of Architecture, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Support is also given by Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited and Necvox International (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
