Texas Family Magazine Names New Editor in Chief
Austin, TX, August 23, 2007 – As it moves toward its third year of publication and prepares for a dynamic growth period, statewide parenting publication Texas Family Magazine has named Caroline A. Shearer its new Editor in Chief. Shearer was promoted from her position as Associate Editor and has been with the magazine since its premiere issue in January/February 2006. She will succeed founding Editor in Chief Jennifer Skovan. Her first magazine issue in the role of Editor in Chief will be November/December 2007.
“I am thrilled to be in this role with Texas Family Magazine, a role where I can be instrumental in providing a positive and relevant influence on the Texas parents who work so hard to educate, support, and love their children,” says Shearer.

Shearer is well-established in the publishing world, having served as an editor, writer, and columnist. She has been published over a thousand times in publications across the United States. Residing in Austin, Texas, Shearer is respected for her conscientious approach to the written word and twice has been recognized as a finalist in the prestigious Austin Under 40 Awards. She received a degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University in 1998.
