Orange County, CA  -- Apr 18, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ -- StudentHomeSearch.com, a rental and real estate search engine, has now gone live and is hopeful of making an impact on how the college student will find housing. With several unique features StudentHomeSearch.com is unlike other real estate sites because it is dedicated solely to the college student.

SHS was designed to allow students to find listings that are close to campus. The site enables students to look at pictures, review lease rates and terms, and contact property managers immediately via telephone, email, or the built in message board system. Other features include a drop down scroll of over 4,000 U.S. colleges, locations of properties broken down into distance from campus, and an account management page allowing favorites to be saved.

At the introduction of StudentHomeSearch.com property managers and real estate agents are welcomed to the site by being given a trial period in which they can post all their listings free. As a new search engine, SHS hopes that in using the services for the free trial period managers and agents will enjoy the benefits and ease of the site and continue to partner with SHS in the future.

The site is broken down distinctly into two sections, real estate and rentals. While renting is typically the norm for the student, a new trend in purchasing is occurring.
