First Building At Sonesta Jaco Resort Has Been Topped-Off

Jaco Beach, Costa Rica --12/28/07-- Riverside Developers is proud to announce that the first building at the Sonesta Jaco Resort has been topped-off this week. The placement of the roof is a significant milestone marking the beginning of interior finishing. The resort broke ground in the middle of this year, and has been barrelling toward completion ever since, keeping pace with its demanding construction schedule.

In pouring the roof slab, the top of the building has been closed to the elements, and interior walls, fittings, and finishes has become a new priority. The external walls are already as high as the sixth floor, and the mortar has begun being spread on the first few levels of those walls. Workers have put tremendous effort into the project seven days a week, from early morning until well after sundown.

The work continues on the other buildings on the site, and progress can be tracked almost daily on the Internet at http://www.SonestaJaco.com, where construction photos are posted. The steel frame of building J4 is nearly completed, having reached the eleventh floor. The steel of building J5 has been bolted to its foundation, and assembly continues at a rapid pace. The fames of buildings J1 through J3 are slated for delivery soon.

As the buildings interiors are finished, work on the grounds will proceed. Excavation of the water-features is underway, along with the conference center, spa, gymnasium, restaurants, bars, and beach club. The resort is expected to be finished in late 2008.
