In recent years a growing number of churches have begun to use the internet as a means of communicating with their members and for added visibility to potential new visitors. Today, many people prefer to look for a church online as opposed to opening the yellow pages. Much like other businesses, churches need to have a website in order to keep up.

Despite the need for a website and the potential value that it brings, many churches do not have anyone with the knowledge or experience to create an effective website. With this in mind, Christian Counseling & Educational Services (www.ccesonline.com) has put together a collection of resources for church and ministry websites.

The resources provided by CCES include everything that a church or ministry will need to get started with their own website. There is information about choosing the right web hosting company, finding a domain name, and more.

CCES offers two resources that are especially of interest for churches. Dr. Ann Shorb, founder of CCES, publishes a weekly devotional series, A Light for My Path. The devotionals from this series can easily be syndicated on any website. Also, a random verse generator is available that will show visitors a different verse each time they visit. Both of these resources are intended to help church and ministry websites attract repeat visitors, as the content will always be changing.

CCES’s visitors are also offered discounted services from Vandelay Website Design (www.vandelaydesign.com), who has designed and maintains the CCES website.

The resources for church and ministry websites can be found at www.ccesonline.com/church-website.htm.
