Oct 26, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Religion has been used lately as an election tool. President Bush and his campaign strategist used views on gays and abortion to get them reelected in 2004. Barrack Obama is now involved in a media scandal due to his involvement with the Reverend Donnie McClurkin in a bid to sway southern black evangelicals. Mr. McClurkin now claims to be a self cured homosexual male. Reverend McClurkin preaches that homosexually is a gay lifestyle choice, not genetically bred. He claims to have been cured by the power of Prayer. We are better served by keeping religion out of politics, and using it as the tool God intended it to be.

With times getting tougher on families and war spreading throughout this world, we must find a solution for peace and prosperity. Religion is the best place to start. People need to get back to Religion as a way of life and not just a slogan of acceptance. When you see a beautiful religious ornament I'm sure a peaceful thought comes to mind. Peaceful thoughts bring about happiness which is a key to everyday survival. Without happiness stress and tension rises which will lead to a very anxious yet angry society. We all Pray and should start to live as we Pray. If we pray for peace and relief for all the unfortunate in this world, then it is only incumbent upon us to live that way. Respecting our neighbors and society is a good start. Reigning in our children and spending more time with them is great too. I know it’s hard with most family having two working parents if not a single parent household. But as adults we have to make sacrifices of our time as to the betterment of society. We can no longer let Videos and Video Games raise our kids we have to come back to being parents not friends or peers. We have to be the ones to instill in our kids the need to follow the guidance of Christ so that we all can have a better life ahead.

It's a known tried and true fact, that Prayer changes things. It does not mean that everything you seek through Prayer will appear right at your feet. Your life will be much better with Prayer. Prayer will lend to your everyday struggle some hope that everything will become better not worst. I'm a strong believer in God and the power of prayer. Jesus is our Lord and Savior whom God put on this Earth to save our soles. I pray every night and every day with the expectation of a blessed life.
