Even though artists such as Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderon changed Puerto Rico into a reggaeton hotspot with their chart topping singles and platinum plaques, New York still suffers from a bit of a identity crisis. For the most part, Reggaeton artists from New York have delivered nothing more than predictable, r&b softy hits. According to 25-year-old rapper Bonao, though, that’s all about to change. Hailing from the Bronx from the notorious Pelham Parkway ., Lokixximo started as a mc's during their mid-teens and gained notoriety through local shows and mixtapes powered by their popular smash, “El Perro” they saw their shows quickly sell out. In 2007, the hot duo buzz attracted the attention of promoter Marcelo Castro who welcomed them to the MLC Entertainment family. Impressed with the duo’s performance skills, MLC entertainment arranged the New York representers to perform at the Bahamas fashion week Tour. Earlier on May, “Reggaeton Pesao” was released, landing at No. 2 on the On Q Radio and over 24 gigs already scheduled this summer.

Riding high off the success, Lokixximo are set to release their debut LP, Los Locos Tambien comen. Lokixximo are reggaeton’s newest sensation with an amazing overnight success, the perception of New York reggaeton artists has changed and they are much more than one-hit wonders, make sure you go check this bad boys out on tour.
