INTERVIEWS: Available by Request.

October 22, 2007; (Paris, France) – Having world-wide rarity and never before seen in the United States, the world's largest black diamond, the Korloff Noir, will arrive in Salt Lake City for a two-day visit from France. Award winning designer and president of Korloff PARIS, Mr. Daniel Paillasseur will present the Korloff Noir during the opening ceremony of the United State's first Korloff PARIS boutique on November 23rd and 24th, 2007. The Korloff Noir will be on exhibition with other rare and exquisite pieces during a private VIP and press event on November 23rd, and to the general public on November 24th.

The Korloff Noir is one of the world's most unique and precious stones which, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, is the biggest black diamond in the world. Its weight is 88 carats. Prior to cutting and polishing the Korloff Noir weighed 421 carats. The process of cutting such stones is risky. Black diamonds in particular are at high risk of shattering due to a complicated crystal grate structure. Diamonds in general can lose up to 90% of their original weight during cutting. The sparkling Korloff Noir with 57 perfect edges constitutes one of Nature's greatest creations.

To behold, let alone touch such a stone is also rare. According to legend, the Korloff Noir brings luck and prosperity to whomever touches it. Among the lucky ones are composer and cello player Mstislav Rostropovich, tennis player Pete Sampras, chess players Gary Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov. Russian figure skater Alexey Yagudin touched the Korloff Noir before the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and won.

This diamond serves as a special talisman for Korloff PARIS. In the 19th century, this precious stone belonged to several generations of the Russian noble family, Korloff-Sapozhnikov. In 1978, one famous French jeweler Daniel Paillasseur became the diamond's owner. Today, this magnificent stone serves as an inexhaustible creative stimulus for creating various unique pieces for the Korloff collection.

The diamond is insured for $37 million. As for the actual diamond’s price, Korloff considers it priceless. Strict security measures will be taken when transporting the stone from France to Salt Lake City. The Korloff Noir will be transported via plane accompanied by guards and several representatives of Korloff PARIS. Afterward, the diamond will be delivered to Salt Lake City's Gateway Mall via armored car. Transportation from the airport to the Korloff PARIS boutique will be observed by helicopter and accompanied by police escort. During the exhibition, the Korloff Noir will appear within a bulletproof glass case under constant supervision of armed security guards.
