PGE Granites starts quarrying

PGE Granites a Karnataka/AP based granite export company is planning to start granite excavation in its two quarries. According to the company sources, the permission to start the quarry operations with the concerned authorities will be obtained within the next few months.

The granite variety to be newly quarried are
1.Sea weed Green
2. Absolute black

The Indian Granite Industry as a whole is seeing a boom driven strong overseas demand despite strong rupee and chinese competition. 60% of the market for the granites overseas is for the black colours, among them Galaxy Black is the widely sought after followed by absolute black granites.

The newer quarries of PGE granites are situated in the Chickmagalur dist., in Karnataka. The company is planning to process the whole out put of these quarries which is expected to be around 500cbm/mnth in its own pocessing plants as the company allready has a strong customer base in the US and Eastern Europe.
