FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Oct 29, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --PC and PREDA partner to combat Internet child abuse The pandemic and ruthless proliferation of Child Pornography worldwide and the affect it has on underprivileged children has become the inspiration for a new child friendly IT solution, one that is manufactured under the fair trade agreement.
Together with the PREDA foundation Pinkerton Consulting (PC) has found a way to target both issues and start a trend to combat them. It has been estimated that there are over 100,000 websites worldwide containing images of children being abused.
Furthermore it is estimated that 1 in 5 young Internet users have received unwanted sexual solicitation through the Internet. [1]
By adapting PC’s family of products to include various levels of filter technologies PC and the PREDA foundation will spearhead a better way to fight the problem
All PC products will have embedded software to block Child Pornographic Abuse and the Educational PCE will block all types of Pornography and Child Abuse.
The assembly of these PCE units will be assisted by mature youth rescued from exploitative situations by Preda Foundation (preda.org) and PC and are being educated and trained in computer science and earning at the same time.
Currently the onus is on the parents to restrict their children from inappropriate websites, by buying blocking filters. PC and PREDA believe that the initiative lies with the manufacturer.
With the help of the PREDA foundation PC is endeavouring to change the status quo, and put the emphasis on other manufacturers to follow their lead, with a view to making computing and the internet a safer place for all children.
Pinkerton Consulting Pty Ltd. coined and adhere to the phrase “Adopt what is useful” and are focused on providing “useful” solutions and alternatives to consumers and business alike.
