FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Once again another problem with ONLINE NETWORKING SITES, and FINALLY A SOLUTION!
Oct 03, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Recently in Polk County Florida, another innocent child was the victim of a sexual predator using an online networking site to cultivate a relationship. The sex offender, a 46 year old Jacksonville, Fl resident, with 14 prior arrests on various charges, including offense or offer of lewdness and lewd and lascivious behavior, used the popular networking website MySpace.com, to deceive 15 year old Alyssa Frank into believing he was 24. After a series of messages sent through the internet, the offender, William Joe Mitchell, convinced the minor to sneak out of her house to rendezvous with him, leading her family and the authorities to believe she had been abducted. While the teen was found the next day, authorities are still on the hunt for this predator, who is one in a continuing trend of internet-savvy sex offenders.
It is frightening to think that something such as the internet, which can bring, not only individuals, but families, communities, and even countries together, can also be a facilitator in crimes such as this. Networking and dating sites can be a great way to build friendships and relationships, which, due to various circumstances, people might not have the opportunity to engage in otherwise, but many people are asking the questions today, ‘Is it worth the risk? Am I really safe giving this website my personal information?’
The creators of LoveDiner.com, one of the fastest growing, and most unique, dating sites on the web, have announced that they are doing something to prevent those with a history of sexual or violent offenses from having access to the site’s six million members. LoveDiner.com, a dynamic new dating site, that breathes life into an otherwise impersonal approach to dating, screens each paying member, performing a detailed background check to deny those who might use the site in an immoral or illegal fashion, from communicating with those who have joined to build a lasting relationship. The site allows its’ users to create profiles, message between members, enter chat rooms, even schedule events to meet their matches offline, under the theme of safe and secure dating.
