THE DOCUMENTARY
Featuring Olympic Champions Brian Boitano and Dorothy Hamill, “The Frozen Stage” follows the evolution of theatrical skating from inception through its modern day presence. From the people and places that influenced skating to its impact on pop culture, the dramatic story unfolds on screen in this first of its kind documentary. Susan Austin, renowned choreographer and co-founder of Theatre Arts On Ice, and Scott Williams, creator/producer of the TLC series Ice Diaries and the American Open Professional Figure Skating Championships, have power housed with Emmy winning documentarian Erik Ewers to take “The Frozen Stage” from vision to reality.
THE FUNDRAISER
Theatre Arts on Ice will host a fundraiser on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 4pm-7pm showcasing skating history and benefitting “The Frozen Stage”. The fundraiser features an exciting evening of activities that will include an extraordinary outdoor ice skating experience on the beach, the screening of the 10-minute demo tape for “The Frozen Stage,” exhibitions by skating pros and locals, opportunity to share the ice with legendary ice skaters, a silent auction, food, drinks, hot chocolate, and more!
