NixTheNews is not your “everyday” kind of news. It’s a daily, crazy – Internet newscast with much more than a splash of “Attitude” built in.

In a world of sometimes unfunny and negative news, NixTheNews takes a detour into the unknown and delivers a daily (weekdays) dose of zany video Internet news. They refer to it as “News with…ATTITUDE.” And, it sure doesn’t lack that.

“I love making people laugh, especially in these stress-filled days,” says former two time heart attack survivor, Internet comedian Nick “Nix” Hetcher. Nix brings his off-the-wall unique brand of comedy to the Internet in the form of a brief daily newscast and short comedy bits.

Hetcher started writing comedy in high school for the school paper, then went on to write jokes for a stand up comic and wrote jokes for disc jockeys when he was a DJ in the early 1980’s.

Hetcher says, “I have about 150 different ‘characters’ floating around in my head at any given time and you never know which one will show up to do the news. Many times I ad lib some of the newscast as I’m taping it. That’s the fun of working with video on the Internet in a grassroots way. I get to be whoever I want to be. Guess I’ll never grow up. Am I supposed to?”
