New Years Eve Fireworks Hijacked For Publicity Stunt.

Sydney, Australia, January 1, 2008 – An Australian entrepreneur has used the Sydney New Years Eve fireworks display to promote his recently launched the "yourdayoftheyear.com" website, that he hopes will make him $1,000,000AU.

Marinko Markovic, pulled off the stunt with help from 8 friends. The group used an industrial laser display unit to project the website logo onto the Sydney harbour bridge during the fireworks display.

The display was visible for approxiately 25 seconds, and would have been visible to thousands of people .

After sending numerous press releases and not getting any interest from the media, Mr Markovic commented, "Maybe now the media will take notice of my website?".

The website idea is set to make Markovic $1,000,000 by selling the days of the year.
