New book journals the daily life struggles of 24week preemie twin boys

Jeff Ewing tells the day-to-day, true story of Jacob and Nicholas, 24-week preemie twins in his new publication Preemie Chronicles: Our NICU Experience. Preemie Chronicles: Our NICU Experience is taken from the daily notes of a father as he follows the struggles of his 1 ½ pound baby boys in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The first few chapters describe the circumstances leading up to their premature birth while the remainder of the book journals the medical procedures, thoughts and a few personal anecdotes, as seen through the eyes of a new father.
Mr. Ewing wrote Preemie Chronicles: Our NICU Experience to provide other parents/friends/family of premature infants with a sense of hope. At the time of their experiences in the NICU, not much was available that could explain or provide information about what was about to happen to them and their babies. Still, today, not many publications are written on the subject nor are they told from a personal point of view. Preemie Chronicles: Our NICU Experience journals the experiences of new parents as their world is turned upside down.
“Jacob and Nicholas are truly miracle babies,” said Mr. Ewing. “Starting life with under-developed lungs, only 2 ounces of blood in your entire body and being out-weighed by a ‘beanie baby’ doesn’t leave much room for hope, but, somehow, we found it and held on tight.”
Jeff Ewing is happily married and has over 11 years experience raising his twin boys Jacob and Nicholas. This is his first book. After writing this book, he self-published at www.lulu.com.
