NEW ASSOCIATION FOR CENTRAL TEXAS BUSINESS ANALYSTS
Dec 10, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --The International Association of Business Analysis, an independent non-profit professional association serving the growing field of Business Analysis, proudly announces a new chapter in the Austin area. The local chapter has been operating since February 2007.

Art Huck, current President of the IIBA Central Texas Chapter explains “Business Analysts (B.A.s) and Product Managers face significant challenges to their jobs, such as changing technologies, increasingly complex systems, and collaborating on distributed teams. The IIBA provides a forum to network with likeminded professionals and gain valuable skills relevant to their jobs.”

IIBA Central Texas holds monthly chapter meetings at which industry professionals are invited to present on various topics relevant to the Business Analyst profession. The next monthly chapter meeting will be held on December 13th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Edwards Professional Education Center. More information can be found by visiting the IIBA Central Texas home page (http://austin.theiiba.org/).

Josh Bohls, IIBA Central Texas Vice President of Marketing, states “We have found that B.A.’s in the Austin area are thirsty for knowledge they can use to improve their skills and techniques around requirements elicitation, systems analysis, and project management. We are planning to bring in experts in the field to share information on requirements tools, methodologies, and general best practices. We expect exponential growth in 2008 and welcome anyone involved in software development or who recruits talented analysts to attend one of our events.”
