NATIONAL GREYHOUND WIN CHAMPION?
Phoenix based Coldwater Torres looking to have the best win record in the country
Phoenix, AZ, December 18, 2007. Coldwater Torres from the Gray Kennel started his professional racing career on April 21, 2006. It took this athlete only one month to climb the ranks to the highest racing grade at Phoenix Greyhound Park, “AA.”
Coldwater Torres is noted for his early speed and out of 89 races ran, has a lifetime record of 71 wins, and only running second 7 times and third and fourth 2 and 4 times respectively. This year alone, Coldwater Torres has won 43 races and is just one win away from setting the Phoenix Greyhound Park record for total wins in a single year.
This champion dog has won stakes races including the 2006 juvenile Championship, the May 2007 Night of Stars, the 2007 Phoenix Sprint Championship, and the November 2007 Night of Stars.
This year (season) Coldwater Torres (racing at Phoenix Greyhound Park in Arizona) is tied with Kiowa Willowwisp (racing at Naples Fort Meyers in Florida) for the most wins of any greyhound in the United States. This determined champion is racing for the title in 2007.
