Santa Monica, CA – There are many Hurricane Katrina survivors who lost everything in the tragic flooding of New Orleans and then went on to make a successful new start in a new location. But perhaps no one will have done it quite so publicly as Tommy Lundy, when he asks Chelsea Drake to marry him on the reality TV show “I Propose”, on the “Style Network “.

The TV show “I Propose”, which is being filmed on the two-year anniversary of the tragic event, will be aired later this Fall.

Tommy Lundy was a 24-year-old truck driver, living in New Orleans, when Hurricane Katrina struck and blew away the front wall and roof of his second story apartment. Trapped inside his apartment for four days, he waited until the water level dropped, then took $400 in savings, headed out on Highway 10, and drove west until he ran out of money … and highway. Highway 10 ends at the Santa Monica Pier, in California.
