Mans unexplained "alien" genes. Where do they come from?

Dec 28, 2007 -- /prbuzz/ --Bible scholars maintain the authenticity of the scriptures, however, more secular groups tend to fictionalize the ancient writings.

Is it possible that the current bible is a misinterpretation of much older writings? When we look at the discoveries of archaeologists as of late, we see that the story of creation predates the writings of the bible scriptures by at least circa 2000 years.

When we look at the most ancient civilizations, we see that the first known advanced civilization with mathematics and writing systems were the Sumerians.

Who were the people of Sumer and when did they live?

It is said that the Sumerians lived some 5500 years ago. It is interesting to note that many Christians have said that the world is 6000 years old.

Linguists and other scholars agree that the earliest known stories similar to that of the Bible come from Sumer. The Sumerians versions of biblical stories have some different detail than the Bible. They believed in multiple gods. There gods were called the Anunaki.

When looking at these creation stories closely, one has to wonder if the Bible is actually based on much older stories. When we look at Genesis 1:26 we see, according to Bible writings, that God refers to Himself as plural in saying "Let US make man in OUR image".
