Mortgage Planner earns expert certification

Ann Marie Jenkins, Certified Mortgage Planner for Indymac Bank Retail Lending Group on Hilton Head Island, SC, has completed a two day training event held by KendallTodd, Inc. in North Carolina to earn the Certified Liability Advisor (CLA) designation. The program, Manage Liabilities Into Assets, provided an intense two day education that involved various liability management concepts, strategies, and case studies.

The program is offered to Mortgage Loan Officers to assist them with the integration of their client’s borrowing and related liabilities as a core step toward financial independence. Completion of the training allows Ann Marie to provide consumer advice on how to best build wealth through the effective management of liabilities. Ann Marie may also now act as an instructor for Realtors, CFPs and CPAs needing state required continuing education credits.

Ann Marie was quoted as saying: “My main reason for completing this education was to help my clients avoid unnecessary wealth transfers to banks and lending institutions that could be directed toward their own future life style needs.”

Ann Marie has been a Retail Banker and Mortgage Planner in the Hilton Head Island area for more than 25 years. Ann Marie has a BS in Business Administration, Finance and Marketing from the University of SC. She is also a graduate of The SC School of Banking and has earned the designation of CMPS, Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist.
